Our client, a well-established engineering business based in Braintree, Essex, is looking to recruit a Working Foreman to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity to join an established team where you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the workshop while mentoring engineers and apprentices.

Key responsibilities for the Working Foreman role:
Reporting to the After Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing technical support and guidance to both staff and customers
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the workshop
- Conducting toolbox talks to ensure health and safety compliance
- Reviewing completed jobs to ensure warranty timelines are met
- Assisting with projects to support the aftersales function
- Maintaining high standards across the depot at all times
- Mentoring and supporting Service Engineers and Apprentices
- Contributing to a positive and professional team environment
- Participating in the service office rota to support operations
- Supporting seasonal demands including overtime and peak periods
Skills and experience
We’re looking for a Working Foreman who has the following:
- Experience in a similar role or a background as a Service Engineer ready to step up
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain high-quality standards in a workshop environment
- Experience motivating and supporting a team
- Flexibility to work overtime and seasonal hours as required
