Position: Senior Project Manager

Salary: up to £60,000

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Birmingham

We’re working with an established organisation based in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

This role will suit someone with strong project governance experience, a structured approach to delivery, and the confidence to manage stakeholders, budgets and delivery plans across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for delivering consistent project and programme management standards across the design and implementation of a portfolio of key client projects.

  • Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Managing client communications and stakeholder relationships throughout delivery
  • Tracking actions, milestones, timelines and project status, producing regular reports where required
  • Developing and executing structured project delivery plans
  • Full budget ownership, including budget creation, approval processes, cost monitoring and monthly controls
  • Taking a solution-focused approach to problem solving and delivery challenges

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

You’ll bring experience operating within complex project environments, with the ability to manage projects end-to-end.

  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and applying recognised project management best practice
  • Strong understanding of both pre- and post-contract project management responsibilities
  • Ability to manage projects across the full lifecycle, from planning through to delivery and close-out
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels, including external clients
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with confident data handling and reporting skills
  • An understanding of operational or logistics-based environments (e.g. warehousing or similar settings)
