Responsibilities
- Inspire and Lead Teams: Oversee and support 6 direct reports (4 managers, 1 HR Generalist and 1 Business Operations Assistant), conducting regular one-to-ones and providing strategic guidance
- Strategy Implementation: Collaborating with senior management to execute business strategies and ensuring that the operations align with the organisation’s goals
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to operations and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
- Budget Management: Overseeing budgets for operational departments and ensuring resources are used effectively and within budget
- Enhance Operational Efficiency: Streamline day-to-day activities while implementing strategies to meet and exceed company objectives
- Solve Problems and Innovate: Analyse challenges, deliver swift and effective solutions, problem solve with confidence and continually enhance processes to optimise performance
- Champion Compliance and HR Excellence: Ensure adherence to company policies and HR legislation, support recruitment, and oversee health and safety initiatives across showrooms and head office
- Manage Projects and Budgets: Deliver key initiatives on time and within budget while providing direct support to managing directors on special projects
- Communicate with Clarity: An outstanding communicator, used to working within a diverse workforce and able to manage complex and sensitive situations with thought, confidence, and sincerity. Foster transparent and consistent communication across teams, the wider business and key stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed of updates and business changes
- Highly organised: with the ability to balance their priorities across multiple projects and priorities.

- Compliance with UK Health and Safety Regulations: Ensure the company adheres to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant regulations, conducting regular risk assessments, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring staff are trained on emergency procedures and safe work practices
- Incident Management and Reporting: Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and maintain accurate records to comply with HSE reporting requirements (e.g., RIDDOR)
