Are you a passionate Draughtsperson, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Draughtsperson to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients.

As part of the Architectural Draughtsmen design team, you will be responsible for using Tekla Structures to communicate design intent into reality using provided architectural drawings and engineer’s calculations. You will be responsible for drawing GAs, assembly, and part drawings.


The business are a leading steelwork organisation who complete all design and manufacturing with an amazing on site team. They always keep up to date with all the latest methodology, laws and regulations.  

Principle Responsibilities for the Draughtsperson :-

  • Read & understand drawings by other structural Engineers and Architects.
  • 3D CAD Modelling using Tekla to produce structural and architectural steelwork
  • Creating Approval drawings using Tekla.
  • Liaising with clients, structural engineers, architects, and fabricators.
  • Raising RFIs for missing information.
  • Noting changes in design information and raising variation of services.
  • An understanding of document control.
  • Creating full production packs to include BoM List, Drawings, and 3D views.

Person specification:-

  • Experience as a steel detailer essential.
  • Proficient in the use of Tekla.
  • A firm understanding of building regulations (Part K, Part M etc.)
  • Experience working for an architectural / structural steelwork company.

This is a full time permanent Draughtsperson position, Monday to Friday finishing at 4:30pm, offering an annual salary of up to £50,000 DOE plus annual company benefits to include a paid holiday plus 8 bank holidays, pension scheme, discount on smart watches, Free gym membership and Amazon Prime membership and free car parking.
