Production Manager (Manufacturing/Natural Stones)
Permanent Full-time position
£40k – 50K (depending on experience)
Between 8:00 – 17:30, with flexibility, 28 Days Holiday (including 8 Bank Holidays)
Bounds Green/ North London
A great and challenging opportunity has now arisen for someone with experience in the manufacturing/ construction industry to step up and develop a career as a Production Manager to join the team, as the business is fast growing and ever expanding. You will be a key member of the team liaising between the office and the factory.
You must have excellent organisational and project management skills. You need to have experience in successfully managing priorities and meet strict deadlines, with a very good eye for detail, problem solving and time management skills. You also must be able to understand the manufacturing process and quality standards with a proactive attitude.

Duties and responsibilities
- Management of around 25 employees, including factory, office and delivery/fitting teams
- Arrange schedules for templating, installation, manufacturing and deliveries, liaising with estimators and contract managers
- Make sure procedures and processes are followed by the office and factory teams
- Oversee the installation teams to make sure they are on schedule and they take responsibility for their work
- Liaise with customers regarding templating and installation dates and ensure that deposits and balances are paid
- Prepare factory schedule and liaise with factory foreman
- Produce management reports when required
- Management of production paperwork
- Manage stock / sundries control, making sure this is updated on a weekly basis
- Manage Health & Safety Practices, making sure Policies and Procedures are up to date and communicated to the factory team
- Keep a log of tools and work equipments
Experience required
- At least 5 years’ experience in similar post
- Working with multiples projects at the same time
Knowledge Required
- Good knowledge of H&S policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of the manufacturing and/or construction industry
- Reading architectural drawings and details
- Knowledge of Auto CAD is highly recommended
- Basic knowledge of natural stone/marble
- Knowledge of Sage will be an advantage
